MARATHI BHASHA DIVAS

February 27 is Marathi Language Day. This day is celebrated not only in India but all over the world to mark the birthday of veteran writer V.V. Shirwadkar alias Kusumagraj. Kusumagraj was born on February 27, 1912. He is known as a Marathi writer. Kusumagraja’s career spanned five decades. During this period he produced numerous poems, short stories, essays, plays and novels. Vishaka, an anthology of poetry that inspired the Indian independence movement in 1942, is one of his most famous works. Today it is considered a masterpiece of Indian literature. Marathi Language Day was celebrated on 27 February 2021 by Bhavna Trust Degree College National Service Scheme. An insightful video of veteran narrator, preacher, kirtan artist Ms. Krantigeeta Mahabal was shown. Marathi Abhiman Geet was performed in this program. 46 volunteers participated in this program.
